Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PolicyGen website, platform, software, tools, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing, registering for, purchasing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Service.
1. The Service
PolicyGen provides automated software tools that assist users in creating, editing, customizing, and generating business and legal-document templates using information provided by the user and automated technologies, including artificial intelligence.
The Service may allow users to generate documents including:
- Privacy Policies;
- Terms of Service;
- Cookie Policies;
- Legal Disclaimers;
- Refund Policies;
- business policies;
- compliance-related documents; and
- other documents or templates that may become available through the Service.
PolicyGen may add, remove, modify, or discontinue features at any time, subject to applicable law.
2. Not a Law Firm
PolicyGen is a technology and software service and is not a law firm.
PolicyGen does not provide legal representation, legal opinions, or individualized legal advice through the Service.
The documents and content generated through the Service are automated outputs based on information provided by the user and the configuration of the Service.
Use of PolicyGen does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and PolicyGen, its owners, operators, employees, contractors, or service providers.
If you require legal advice concerning your particular circumstances, you should consult a qualified attorney licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.
3. AI-Generated Content
PolicyGen uses artificial intelligence and automated technologies to generate and customize content.
AI-generated content may contain:
- errors;
- omissions;
- inaccurate information;
- outdated information;
- inappropriate provisions;
- incomplete provisions; or
- provisions that do not apply to your specific circumstances.
You are responsible for reviewing all generated documents before using, publishing, distributing, or relying upon them.
PolicyGen does not guarantee that an AI-generated document is legally sufficient, enforceable, complete, accurate, or compliant with every law or regulation applicable to your business.
4. User Information
The quality and relevance of generated documents depend in part on the information you provide.
You are responsible for ensuring that information submitted to PolicyGen is:
- accurate;
- complete to the extent reasonably necessary;
- current;
- lawful;
- relevant to the requested document; and
- not misleading.
PolicyGen does not necessarily independently verify information submitted by users.
You should not submit unnecessary passwords, payment-card information, government identification numbers, highly sensitive personal information, or confidential information that is not required for the requested Service.
5. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you.
If you use PolicyGen on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
The Service is intended primarily for businesses, organizations, professionals, and other users capable of entering into legally binding agreements.
6. User Accounts
Certain features may require you to create an account.
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate registration information;
- maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials;
- protecting access to your account;
- ensuring that information associated with your account remains accurate; and
- all activities occurring through your account, subject to applicable law.
You must notify PolicyGen if you believe that your account has been accessed without authorization.
PolicyGen may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, or third parties, investigate suspected abuse, prevent fraud, or comply with applicable law.
7. Subscriptions and Paid Services
Certain features of PolicyGen may require payment of a subscription fee or other charge.
The applicable price will be displayed before you complete the relevant purchase.
Subscription plans may include:
- monthly subscriptions;
- annual subscriptions;
- one-time purchases;
- usage-based services; or
- other pricing models introduced by PolicyGen.
Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions automatically renew for the applicable subscription period until cancelled.
By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the applicable fees according to the selected billing period.
8. Pricing
PolicyGen may change its pricing, plans, features, or subscription structure from time to time.
Price changes for existing recurring subscriptions will be communicated in accordance with applicable law and the applicable subscription terms.
A price change will not retroactively alter fees that have already been charged.
9. Payment Processing
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.
PolicyGen may not receive or store complete payment-card information.
Your payment may be subject to the payment provider's own terms and privacy policy.
You authorize PolicyGen and its payment provider to process applicable charges associated with your selected plan or purchase.
10. Cancellation
You may cancel a recurring subscription through the cancellation functionality provided by PolicyGen or the applicable account interface.
Cancellation generally prevents future renewal but does not automatically reverse charges that have already been processed, except where a refund is required by applicable law or provided under an applicable refund policy.
Your access may continue until the end of the applicable paid subscription period unless otherwise stated.
11. Refunds
Refund eligibility is determined by the applicable refund policy, the terms presented at the time of purchase, and mandatory consumer-protection laws that apply to the transaction.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict a consumer's mandatory statutory rights.
Where applicable law provides a right to cancel a transaction or obtain a refund, those rights will apply notwithstanding any conflicting provision of these Terms.
12. Generated Documents
Documents generated through PolicyGen are provided as automated templates and informational resources.
You are responsible for:
- reviewing the document;
- checking its accuracy;
- confirming that it reflects your actual business practices;
- checking applicable jurisdictional requirements;
- making necessary modifications;
- obtaining professional legal review where appropriate; and
- determining whether and how the document should be used.
PolicyGen does not guarantee that a generated document will satisfy the requirements of a particular jurisdiction, regulator, court, customer, business partner, or other third party.
13. No Guarantee of Legal Compliance
PolicyGen does not guarantee that any document generated through the Service:
- complies with all applicable laws;
- satisfies GDPR requirements;
- satisfies Israeli legal requirements;
- satisfies U.S. federal or state requirements;
- satisfies UK requirements;
- satisfies industry-specific requirements;
- is legally sufficient;

The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored, disclosed, and protected.
22. Confidentiality
PolicyGen will use reasonable measures to protect confidential information submitted through the Service.
However, you acknowledge that internet transmission and electronic storage cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should avoid submitting information through the Service that is not reasonably necessary for the Service.
23. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and generated content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
PolicyGen makes no guarantee regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, availability, or legal sufficiency of the Service or generated content.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, representation, liability, or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
24. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PolicyGen and its owners, operators, affiliates, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or similar damages arising out of or relating to the use of the Service.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless PolicyGen and its owners, operators, affiliates, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and reasonable expenses arising from:
- your unlawful use of the Service;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your violation of third-party rights;
- content or information submitted by you; or
- your misuse of generated documents.
This provision does not apply to the extent that the relevant claim results from PolicyGen's own unlawful conduct or liability that cannot legally be shifted to you.
26. Suspension and Termination
PolicyGen may suspend or terminate access to the Service where reasonably necessary if:
- you materially violate these Terms;
- you engage in fraudulent or abusive activity;

Where required by applicable law, PolicyGen will provide appropriate notice or an opportunity to remedy the relevant violation.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute-related matters.
28. International Users
PolicyGen is operated from Israel and may provide services to users worldwide.
If you access the Service from another jurisdiction, you are responsible for complying with laws applicable to your use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove mandatory consumer, privacy, or other legal rights applicable to users in jurisdictions where such rights cannot lawfully be excluded.

Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in an updated version of these Terms will remove or restrict mandatory consumer or other legal rights that cannot lawfully be removed or restricted.
31. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
The invalid provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, where legally permitted.
32. No Waiver
Failure by PolicyGen to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce that provision in the future.
33. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the PolicyGen Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly incorporated into the Service, constitute the applicable agreement governing your use of PolicyGen, subject to any mandatory rights or obligations imposed by applicable law.

- mandatory consumer rights;
- mandatory privacy rights;
- statutory rights;
- rights that cannot legally be waived;
